Objectives of the Course

The history of biological control in phytopathology, the mechanisms used by antagonist microorganisms and biological pesticides used for fungal, bacterial and viral plant diseases will be explained.

Information will be given about the biocontrol mechanisms used by antagonist microorganisms, such as antibiosis, competition, hyperparasitism, hypovirulence, induced resistance and cross protection.
