Objectives of the Course |
This course is designed to provide sufficient information about alternative energy sources such as conventional and renewable, along with key issues directly related to energy policies such as energy history, energy economy, energy displacement, energy geopolitics, energy and global climate change and energy security. |

Course Contents |
The main topics of the first part of this course are energy overview, history and energy displacement, important energy ages, energy and sovereign powers, geopolitics and energy security of energy sources, Hubbert curve and oil summit theory, primary energy sources, energy conversion and secondary energy, energy as an economic sector consists of final consumption of sectoral energy, sustainable energy development, energy and environment. The second part starts with fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas and continues with renewable energies such as wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, biomass and hydrogen. |
