| Level of Course Unit | Second Cycle | Objectives of the Course | Examines the organisms that cause disease in insects, it is aimed to learn the entomopathogenic factors related to different organism groups. Within the scope of the course, it is aimed to understand the symptoms they cause in insects by considering the agent groups one by one (bacteria, fungi, viruses, nematodes and protozoa). Learning the ways and conditions of infection of the agents and their use in microbial warfare are among the objectives of the course. | Name of Lecturer(s) | Doç. Dr. Gamze PEKBEY | Learning Outcomes | 1 | To be able to identify entomopathogens (bacteria, fungi, viruses, nematodes and protozoa) that cause disease in insects. | 2 | Learning the ecological demands and application conditions of entomopathogens | 3 | Understanding the basic principles of the use of entomopathogens in microbial warfare | 4 | Understanding the basic principles of the use of entomopathogens in microbial warfare | 5 | Know the isolation, reproduction and storage of pathogens. | 6 | Knows the methods of using entomopathogenic microorganisms in microbial control. |
