General Description
History
The program is the third department opened at the Şefaatli Vocational School within the Yozgat Bozok University. Started to admit students as of 2019-2020 academic year.

Students who successfully complete all field courses are entitled to receive a "Associate Degree Diploma".

Specific Admission Requirements
To be accepted to the program, it is necessary to be successful in the exam held by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Students organize their program preferences according to their scores, and send their preference forms to the Student Selection and Placement Center. ÖSYM takes all the applications, groups the applications according to the score type, sorts the scores from the highest to the lowest, lists all available programs according to the preferred score type and places the students into one of their preferred programs. Registration of students who are accepted to the program is carried out.

In horizontal/vertical transitions to the program, the provisions of the related articles of the Education and Training Directive of Yozgat Bozok University Şefaatli Vocational School are applied.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
To be a high school graduate, to get a score above the determined base point in the placement examination to the central higher education institutions that year.
Profile of The Programme
Farm and pet health indirectly affect human health. Considering the importance attached to both animal and human health, the number of qualified "veterinary health technicians" and "lab technicians" who will assist veterinarians working in the field, animal biology and laboratory workers is increasingly important. Program; aims to train experienced technical staff who can work in these areas, have high knowledge and experience.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Students who have successfully graduated from the program; The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has the opportunity to work in provincial, district directorates, research institutes and laboratories, veterinary clinics, polyclinics and hospitals, farms, poultry, food production and marketing enterprises, zoos, and veterinary pharmaceutical industry.
Access to Further Studies
Students who have successfully graduated from the program; With the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS), Veterinarian can switch to Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biology, Animal Production, Agricultural Biotechnology, and Animal Science undergraduate programs.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
For each student to register on the pre-determined dates in the academic calendar and to take the final exams, they must have attended the courses at least 70% and the practices must have been at least 80%. Students are subjected to at least one visa and one final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam to the student's final grade is 40%, and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Students who get one of the letter grades "AA", "BA", "BB", "CB" and "CC" from a course are considered successful in the related course. “DC” and “DD” are considered conditionally successful. For the student to be successful in a course that receives "DC" or "DD", the GPA must be at least 2.00 in the course of the course.
Graduation Requirements
Students have to complete all of the compulsory and elective courses (total) they have to take in the program (total 120 ECTS). ), their GPA is at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and they have to do a 30-day compulsory internship.

Facilities
There are three lecturers in our program. Projection classes, computer laboratory, and library are available. There is also a basic application laboratory.
