General Description
History
Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Engineering-Architecture was established with the Decree Law No. 496, which entered into force in 1993. Within the scope of Engineering, there are Computer Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Biosystems Engineering departments, while within the scope of Architecture, there are Architecture, City and Regional Planning departments. The Department of Computer Engineering has started its education in the MMF building in Bilal Şahin West Campus since the 2016-2017 academic year.
Qualification Awarded
Graduates who successfully complete the program by fulfilling all the requirements receive the "Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering" degree.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Recognition of previous formal learning in Turkish Higher Education institutions, vertical, horizontal and intra-university transitions are carried out within the scope of "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer" determined by the Higher Education Council. Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Successfully completing all the courses available in the program (for a total of 240 ECTS) and having a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are the required qualification conditions for graduation.
Profile of The Programme
The Department of Computer Engineering carries out an education plan that aims to educate its students in the best way in both respects by reconciling theory and practice to train computer engineers with the title of computer engineer, which they have acquired on a solid foundation and engineering sciences background. They are engineers who can find qualified jobs in national or international IT institutions or in the academic field, analyze the functioning of an existing system, identify problems and find original and creative solutions, design and project a new system, work individually and as a team to progress in business life, and also self-contain. Also they are engineers who can express themselves orally and in writing, follow the sources written in foreign languages, are open to innovations and self-confident, and are also sensitive to the problems of our age and fulfill their profession with the responsibility required by this sensitivity, and can act in accordance with ethical principles. The program includes compulsory courses related to both basic engineering sciences and Computer Engineering. In addition to the compulsory courses in the education plan, there are also optional courses that students can choose according to their own preferences. Thus, the Department of Computer Engineering trains modern engineers who are equipped with the knowledge and skills to serve in all areas of the Computer Engineering profession on a national and international scale, develop themselves by following the developments in their field, are prone to teamwork, are inquisitive, and attach importance to ethical values.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Students who are successful at the end of their undergraduate education are awarded a bachelor's degree in "Computer Engineering". Graduates of the department can work as system analyst, application programmer, director, founder and executive engineer, database manager, research and development engineer in the design and implementation of computer-aided industrial systems. In addition, they can also contribute to education and training while progressing academically as a lecturer in universities and have the chance to conduct scientific studies and research.
Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can study in graduate programs in their field or related fields, provided that they get a valid grade from the ALES exam and have sufficient English language knowledge.

Facilities
There are 10 full-time faculty members (2 Associate Professors, 7 Assistant Professors, 1 Lecturer) in the program. There are also 5 research assistants in the department.
