General Description
History
Bozok University Faculty of Education was established in 2008 and continues its education activities in Erdoğan Akdağ Campus. The Turkish Language Teaching program started to accept its first students as of the 2018-2019 academic year.

Specific Admission Requirements
Students who want to enroll in the department must complete the processes determined by OSYM within the framework of the academic and legal regulations of the university / have passed the exams. Students are accepted to the program by obtaining the required score in the YGS exam conducted by OSYM. YGS score type is TS-2. A student who has started his education in an equivalent program in the country or abroad can apply for horizontal transfer.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
The following conditions apply for students who want to transfer to Yozgat Bozok University from higher education institutions in Turkey and abroad: The Regulation on the Principles of Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer, determined by the Senate of our University Evaluation Conditions for lateral transfers.

In order to graduate from this 4-year program, the student must successfully complete all courses. This degree is awarded to students who pass all the courses in the curriculum, obtain a minimum of 240 ECTS credits, and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00/4.00.
Profile of The Programme
The Department of Turkish Education aims to train qualified teachers who are aware of contemporary assessment-evaluation approaches, who can organize teaching activities in line with technological developments, who can use different teaching methods and strategies in teaching processes, and who can follow the studies in their field, with its 4-year undergraduate program based on contemporary approaches in teacher training. Within the framework of this purpose, courses for both providing professional development of students and subject knowledge and general culture are included in the department program.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Students who graduated from the Turkish Language Teaching Program; With the title of "Turkish Teacher", they will be able to work in public and private schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education at the second level of primary education (5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grade), private teaching institutions and study centers. Apart from these, he has wide job opportunities to work in media organizations, educational and cultural institutions in the country and abroad, archives and museums, world Turcology centers, private and official institutions related to the Turkic Republics, and can work as an academician in the relevant departments of universities. Our graduates will be able to teach Turkish to foreigners and Turkish nobility; be able to produce solutions to social problems as teachers who can communicate effectively, take social responsibility, internalize national values, respect universal values, and have citizenship awareness; will be equipped to analyze different literary and informative genres such as novels, stories, poems, screenplays, articles, essays with their artistic and cultural competencies.

Students graduating from this program can apply to second-level programs.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
The assessment and evaluation methods applied for each course are defined in the Course Introduction Form, which is prepared by the relevant faculty member/s and included in the Information package. Regarding exams and course success grades, the relevant articles of the YBU Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Exam Regulations and the Education and Exam Application Principles of the Faculty of Education are applied. Accordingly, students have to attend classes, practices and exams. Attendance and absenteeism of the students are followed by the relevant instructor. Students are subjected to a midterm and a final exam for each course. In some courses, in addition to these, semester work (project, seminar, homework, presentation, etc.) may be requested.

Facilities
There are three assistant professors and a research assistant Dr. in the Department of Turkish Education. Department students can benefit from the university's computer laboratory, library, sports facilities and social areas.
