Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Agriculture was established with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 03.07.1992 and numbered 16/3837 and the approval of the Council of Higher Education. It was connected to the newly established Bozok University with the law article no. 1/5467 dated 01.03.2006 and named "University Faculty of Agriculture". The Department of Plant Protection started its undergraduate education in the 2012-2013 academic year. |

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
Exemption: Students who enroll in the education and training program apply 15 days before the start of education in order to be exempt from the courses they have taken and succeeded in the Higher Education Institutions they are enrolled in. An exemption exam is held at the beginning of each academic term for the English course. Students who take the exam and pass the relevant courses are deemed exempt. |
Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
Successfully completing all the courses available in the program (for a total of 240 ECTS) and having a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are the required qualification conditions for graduation. |
Profile of The Programme |
In the Plant Protection Program, students are given basic knowledge and skills about the diagnosis, diagnosis, biology and most appropriate control methods of pests, diseases and weeds that cause problems in crop plants. |

Plant Protection graduates can work in the public or private sector. Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Ministry of Development, agriculture-based industrial enterprises, agricultural cooperatives, agriculture and agriculture-based sector control and certification institutions and non-governmental organizations can be listed as the important ones. |

Students with a bachelor's degree can continue to national or international graduate programs on plant protection. |
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
Yozgat Bozok University Measurement and Evaluation Principles
According to the proposal; In order to determine the success of students in midterms, finals, make-up exams, applications and similar studies, how the application will be carried out is determined and announced by the decision of the relevant board before the start of the academic year.
Exam evaluations are applied as stated in Article 21 of the Education and Training Regulation. The success grade of a course is graded out of 100 full points for the semester/year evaluation tool (midterm exam, homework, project, laboratory, application and other studies). The student who fails the final exam takes the make-up exam on the determined date during the make-up week. Make-up exam grades are evaluated like final exam grades. |
Graduation Requirements |
In addition to the rules in the qualification conditions and rules section, there is an obligation to do an internship for 30 working days. |

There are 3 Associate Professor, 5 Doctoral Faculty Members and 1 Research Assistants in the Plant Protection Department. There are 3 laboratories, 1 insect museum, 2 stereo microscopes, 15 binocular light microscopes, 1 sterile cabinet, 1 pure water device, 2 incubators used in research and education activities. |
