General Description
History
Our School, which was established with the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated February 26, 2010 and numbered 27505, continues its educational activities in order to train physical education and sports teachers for primary and high school schools.
Qualification Awarded
The Physical Education and Sports Education Department trains qualified physical education and sports teachers in great need in our country in sports. Graduates will be able to take part in pre-school, primary, and secondary education institutions and equivalent schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, in the central and provincial organization of the Directorate of Youth and Sports, in the training and implementation of sports activities for the disabled, in the organization and implementation of activities in our social life under the name of healthy life. Courses and practices within the scope of General Culture, Sports Field Knowledge, and Teaching Profession are included in the department program.

Specific Admission Requirements
Students who want to enroll in the department must complete the processes determined by OSYM within the framework of the academic and legal regulations of the university / have passed the exams. A student who has started his/her education in an equivalent program at home or abroad can apply for horizontal transfer. Acceptance of students is examined and evaluated individually before the beginning of the semester, taking into account the conditions of each student and the degree applied for. Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Students studying at Bozok University may be exempt from certain courses within the framework of certain regulations. If the content of the course taken at another institution is in accordance with the content of the course given at Bozok University and it is approved by the relevant faculty/institute, the student may be exempted from this course.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The duration of the program is 4 years. Students who have a total of 240 ECTS credits, who are successful in the courses and whose GPA is over 2.00 are entitled to graduate. Students are also required to complete their compulsory internship within the specified time and feature.
Profile of The Programme
The Department of Physical Education and Sports Education is an interdisciplinary field that includes subjects such as educational sciences, educational psychology, sports psychology, human anatomy and kinesiology, exercise physiology, training science, psychomotor development, teaching principles and methods. The department's aim is to ensure that its students graduate as modern, productive and well-equipped physical education and sports teachers who are qualified, researchers, can find correct solutions to problems in a short time, can follow scientific and technical developments, in addition to their professional knowledge.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Students who graduate from the physical education and sports program receive the title of "Physical Education and Sports Teacher". Students graduating with this title can work as Physical Education and Sports Teachers in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. In addition, graduates of the program can work in academic staff at universities, public institutions and private institutions.
Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can apply to the graduate program if they get a valid grade from the ALES exam. In addition to the ALES score determined in the doctoral program, they can apply to graduate programs in their field or related fields, provided that they have sufficient English language knowledge and document this situation.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
The measurement and evaluation method applied for each course is defined in detail for each course in the course teaching plan. Midterm exams take place within the time period determined in the academic calendar. In addition, at least 1 activity is carried out during the year that will contribute to the visa score. The contribution of these activities and the midterm exam score to the semester success grade is made at the discretion of the faculty member and is announced via OBS at the beginning of the semester. The final exam is held as one exam at the end of the semester. Relevant dates are included in the academic calendar.
Graduation Requirements
Successfully completing all of the courses available in the program (for a total of 240 ECTS) and having a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are the required qualification conditions for graduation.
