General Description
History
The Health College was founded in the 1997-1998 Academic Year, enrolling 31 students in the Nursing Department and graduated its first graduates in the 2001-2002 Academic Year. There is a Nursing department in our College and a total of 277 students are in its undergraduate program with a length of four years. Five departments those Child Development, Social Services, Health Administration and Emergency and Disaster Management have been established at Health School on 20/02/2013. As of 2012 fall semester,277 nursing student, the college employs a total of 21 academic staff:1 assosiotion profssors, 3 assistant professors, 7 instructors and 10 researches assistant who are working at the college at the moment.

The Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is awarded to the graduates who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
The rules and regulations for recognition of formal prior learning are well defined. Transfer can be made among the institutions of which equivalency is recognized by Higher Education Council. Also successful vocational school graduates to continue their educaiton to obtain Bachelor’s degrees if they are successful in the selection and the placement examination (DGS, i.e. vertical transfer examination) are admitted.However, exams of exemption are organised at the start of each year at the University for the courses of English Language and Computer Skills. The students who have completed the proficiencies for these courses on his/her own or through other means, and believe that they have achieved the learning outcomes specified are given the right to take the exemption exam. The students who achieve a passing grade from these exams are held exempt from the related course in the curriculum.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Students must obtain a grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and successfully pass all courses on the programme (equivalent to a total of 240 ECTS).

Professional nurses provide health care services across the life span and in varied environments. Nursing is concerned with promoting, maintaining, and restoring health. Nursing is committed to the goal of promoting an optimal level of functioning for all individuals, families and groups, thereby contributing to the health of the nation.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduated students could work as a clinic nurse in primary, secondary and teritary health care centers, Office nurse, school health nurse, administrator or educator nurses.
Access to Further Studies
The bachelor’s degree graduates who have passed the national upper graduate entry and english language exams are eligible to apply for Master’s or Doctorate (Phd) Degree Programmes.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
According to bozok University Assessment and Evaluation Principles Instruction, how to make the practices and exams are determined and announced by decision of The Faculty Comittee. Students must attend 70% of the theoretical classes, 80% of practices and 80% of laboratory studies. Students must attend classes, practices and examinations. Implementation of a vocational course the student must take at least 60 grade to be successful. Students are given a make-up examination for any examination which they have not attended if it is accepted by the Faculty Administrative Comittee that there exist genuine and valid reasons for this.
