Course Contents
Recognition of different kinds of basins, the processes that form these basins, the processes that bring about filling of basins, the nature of the fills and relationship of tectonics to sedimentation patterns. Measured stratigraphic sections, grain fabric and paleocurrent. General characteristic features of the following basins: Interior, Intracontinental, Aulacogen, Passive margin, Oceanic, Subduction related, Strike- Slip/wrench and Colision related basins.
