General Description
History
Yozgat Bozok University Vocational School is one of the main parts of the Department of Furniture and Decoration was established in 2002 at the University of Erciyes. Bozok University in 2006 with the establishment of new universities were affiliated to it. The principle of basic education in the Department of Furniture and Interior Design, materials and production areas with up to date furniture and decoration in the field of scientific and technological work, combining technological age students by giving them training to meet the needs of the sector aspires to train intermediate member. The language of instruction is Turkish.
Qualification Awarded
Upon successful completion of the program graduates to fulfill all the requirements of "Associate's Degree in the field of Furniture and Decoration" degree. Given that within the framework of the European Qualifications Degree-5 level corresponds to the level of education.

Specific Admission Requirements
The admission and registration requirements are explained in the legislation of the Turkish Higher Education Primarily, area vocational school graduates are admitted without examination within the quota for this program. The remaining quotas are filled with the standard high school graduates according to their higher education entrance examination results. The placement is made by OSYM. Registration requirements are the same as higher education entrance system
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
The rules and regulations for recognition of formal prior learning are well defined. Transfer can be made among the institutions of which equivalency is recognized by Higher Education Council. Also successful vocational school graduates to continue their educaiton to obtain Bachelor’s degrees if they are successful in the selection and the placement examination (DGS, i.e. vertical transfer examination) are admitted. The courses to be taken by these students are determined by the relevant department, on the basis of courses they have completed in the programs from which they have graduated. Recognition of prior non-formal and in-formal learning is at the beginning stage in Turkish Higher Education Institutions. Ege University and hence of the Department is not an exception to this. However, exams of exemption are organised at the start of each year at the University for the courses of English Language and Computer Skills. The students who have completed the proficiencies for these courses on his/her own or through other means, and believe that they have achieved the learning outcomes specified are given the right to take the exemption exam. The students who achieve a passing grade from these exams are held exempt from the related course in the curriculum.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Students who successfully complete their 2 academic year (4 semesters) long academic program (a total of 120 ECTS credits) and also the vocational internship earn (20 working days) their associate degree.
Profile of The Programme
This program offers opportunities to the students where they can express themselves creatively by designing and producing professional furniture. Furniture and Decoration program aims to produce labor force to sector businesses to design, produce and ergonomic usability of furniture. It educates Furniture and Decoration technician with professional knowledge and equipment which Furniture Industry needs. Students are taught theoretical knowledge required for the profession, at the same time, professional applications are made and vocational skills are gained. At the end of the first class of the program, 20-day vocational training and at the end of the second class 20-day vocational training to be a total of 20 days professional training period takes place. Thus, the theory-practice opportunity can be ensured.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates of this program gain some knowledge and skills to solve problems that they face in all subjects and issues. Also they gather some knowledge such as technical drawing, materials, cost accounts e.g. and learn AutoCAD, other PC programs, which would be useful in their business life. Graduates from this program are employed in enterprises such Furniture Manufacturing and Production, R&D, P&D, Design, departments of Manufacturing, Marketing, Work in process and raw materials in the production as a technical staff or as technicians. Graduated students can set up their own businesses based on their ability and personal skills.
Access to Further Studies
1-Part graduates without examination of some of the outdoor education program can continue. Successful implementation of the compliance program 3 classes continue. Outside the field (business, economics, etc.) will have a bachelor's degree from an area. 2-section designated areas after graduation and to the Vertical Jump Test (DGS) can continue their education by entering areas.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Before the start of each semester, students must register for their courses and in order to admit to the final examinations they must be continued for at least 70% of courses and 80% of practical applications. Students are subjected to midterm studies (midterm exam, quiz, homework, project, practice work, laboratory exam etc.) and the final exam for each course. All exams evaluated out of 100 point. Semester one midterm and one final exam as are the courses. 40% and 60% of the final quiz grade is determined by the student meets
Graduation Requirements
Students who successfully complete the program (120 credits) with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00, who also successfully complete the vocational internship, are awarded an Associate Degree in this progamme

Facilities
One of the academic staff of the department, two classrooms (both have a projection device), many applications have made ​​application workshop machinery and equipment, a computer lab (30 computers), a drawing room.
