General Description
History
Bozok University Akdağmadeni Vocational School Kadışehri Horticulture Program has been opened in academic year of 2011-2012. However first students have been taken in academic year of 2012-2013.
Qualification Awarded
Horticulture Program is to be subjected 120 credits AKTS and two-year degree system. Students, who complete the programe succesfully with having program acceptabilty, get an associate degree on Horticulture domain and “Horticulture technician” officle title.

Specific Admission Requirements
It is necessary getting enough points on YGS-6 class in YGS (universty entrance exam) which is organized by ÖSYM, to ensonce in Akdağmadeni Vocational School, Kadışehri Horticulture Program. In addition, candidates who graduated vocatgional high-school also appeal to Kadışehri Horticulture associate program by using direct passing privilege.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
It is necessary for getting associate degree from Horticulture Program that students must complate all vocational imperative and optional lessons succesfully (totally 120 cretids in trim of AKTS) and have to general grade point avarage 2.00/4.00.
Profile of The Programme
It is purposed to educate Horticulture technician that well-qualified and expert about the domain, well-trained on the issues about fruit culture, vegetable culture and viticulture, for employing in private sector and public institution due to the lessons, practise and supporting training course along to 4 term in Horticulture Program.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduated students are able to work as “Horticulture Technician” in public institution such as T.C. province directorate of ministry of agriculture and food, parks depertmant of municipal corporation and agriculture investigation institute, private sector establishmant such as agriculture cooperatives, corporation of pruduction and marketing of fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants, greenhouses that pruducting young tree, corporation that pruducting mushroom, pesticide seller markets, corporation that pruducting seed, corporations that storaging and packing after harvest.
Access to Further Studies
Students that are beeing successful on Vertical pessing exam (DGS) able to pass in lisance program such as Horticulture, Plant Protection, Horticulture pruducting and marketing, Field Crops, Soil Science and Plant Nutrition.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
In this program, at least 1 mid-term exam and 1 final exam is done for each lesson. Assignments may be given to assist the educational programs. The overall grade and pass/fail situation of the student is determined by adding together 40% of mid-term examination results and 60% of final exam result.
Graduation Requirements
For complating program its necessary to pass all lessons of program (120 cretids in trim of AKTS), to get grade point avarage at least 2.00/4.00.

Facilities
There are 3 faculity member in Bozok University Akdağmadeni vocational school Kadışehri Horticulture Program. Education is being in Kadışehri Yozgat/TURKEY. There are 2 clasroom each one have 30 person capacity, 1 computer labaratuar have 30 person capacity, 3 projection equipments, 1 resting room for faculity member, 1 room for depertmant head, 1 office have 4 person capacity for faculity member, a lodgment have 7 single rooms, 1 library, 1 tea room, 1 salon for social activities. Students have opportunity for making practice lesson and training course in the fruit garden that established on 5640 m2 area occured in Kabalı Village for the first stage of the “Fruit integrated projection in Deveci Basin” which is one of the most important integrated projection (total area is 10.920 da) of Turkey. Employment will be achieved for the students that completed Horticulture Program succesfully throught in the %80 percentage of all students’ average grade. Furthermore, stipend will be delivered by the protocol as part of projetion for the students that achived competence for education throught %80 percentage of all students’ succeed level in the Horticulture Program.

8Has a basic knowledge of mathematics and statistics.
9Vegetables (summer and winter vegetables, greenhouse vegetables, mushrooms), fruit (fruit of all kinds and vineyard) and learns and applies techniques of ornamental plants production.
10Garden crops diseases and learns and applies the methods of pest control.
11Quality control of the products obtained from the garden, storage and preparation of information on the market.
12Has the information and makes the application issues about Irrigation methods, tillage, fertilizer with varieties of plant nutrition and fertilization
13Protecting sensitive environmental issues, natural and cultural resources, environmentally-conscious.
14The desired level of yield and quality in horticulture derivation may negatively affect the environmental, biological, technical and economic issues finds and evaluates the source.
