History
The Department of Architectural Restoration started the recruitment of students in the 2018-2019 academic year.
Qualification Awarded
Students who successfully complete this program are entitled to receive an Associate Degree (Technical Programs) in the field of Architectural Restoration Associate Degree Program.

Specific Admission Requirements
Students are admitted to the ARCHITECTURAL RESTORATION section according to the results of the Transition to Higher Education Exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
There are no prior education arrangements specifically used in the ARCHITECTURAL RESTORATION program. He/She must have completed secondary education.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
To complete all courses with a total of 120 ECTS credits in the course plan. 20 business days (5 ECTS credits) to complete industry internship.

ARCHITECTURAL RESTORATION is an associate degree program providing practical and theoretical information about the profession.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
The graduates of the department may be employed in architectural offices, workshops, construction sites and archaeological excavation works, in the departments of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in museums, in the surveys and monuments directorates, in the conservation and restoration central laboratories directorates, in the directorates of KUDEB in the metropolitan municipalities, in the KUDEB directorates in the district municipalities and in the general directorate of foundations. take office in the regional directorates.
Access to Further Studies
Graduates of the department can transfer to the departments of architecture, city and regional planning, interior architecture, traditional handicrafts, tile design and repair, and preservation and repair of cultural assets with DGS.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Two exams, one midterm and one final exam, are administered. The effect of these exams on the final grade is evaluated as 40% and final examination is 60%.
Graduation Requirements
Students are required to take at least one midterm and a final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm final exam (60%) to the final exam is 40%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. In order for the student to graduate, he / she has to complete 120 ECTS course load and the GPA must be at least 2.0.

3To understand and apply the legal regulations related to conservation in the area of ​​restoration and conservation.
4Protection and repair of the area, technical drawing methods, decoration techniques to apply.
5Uses information technologies. Uses information and communication technologies together with computer software at the level of European Computer Driving License Basic Level required by the field.
6To have the ability of expressing his / her ideas orally and in writing, clearly and concisely by having the ability of individual working ability and independent decision-making
7He / she knows Atatürk's principles and reforms, assimilates them and uses them in his life.
8To be able to conduct studies related to the field independently.
9To be able to create and execute restoration projects.
10To know and apply the basic principles and methods in the field.
11Communicates effectively verbally and in writing; use at least one foreign language at the intermediate level of the European Language Portfolio A2 General Level.
12Can produce project using technical drawing.
