General Description
History
Yozgat Bozok University Yerköy Vocational School of Justice was established with the law dated 23.09.2010 and numbered 5662, and the Social Security programme was opened as of 29.08.2012. Based on the decision of YÖK, it was transferred to the Department of Property Protection and Security within the Yozgat Vocational School of our University in the 2023-2024 Academic Year. The language of education of the programme is Turkish.

Students who have successfully completed all courses which is available in the program (total 120 ECTS) and who obtained at least 2.00 on a 4.00 graduation point are awarded to undergraduate diplomas

Specific Admission Requirements
Students are accepted to the programme with the score type of Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS), Basic Proficiency Test (TYT). Candidates must have a high school or equivalent school diploma and fulfil the requirements determined by the Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM) in line with the relevant legislation of YÖK. In addition, foreign students are also accepted within the framework of a certain quota.

Programme students are required to successfully complete all of the compulsory and elective courses (equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS) and achieve a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 in order to obtain an associate degree.

Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed their associate degree education can study in undergraduate programmes provided that they get a valid grade from the vertical transfer exam. Graduated students can transfer vertically to social work, social services undergraduate programmes and insurance and social security undergraduate programmes of universities that provide 4-year education. Graduates of the social security programme can also choose economics, business administration, finance, public administration, labour economics and industrial relations undergraduate programmes of open education faculties.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Each student should register at the beginning of the term and for the enter final exams they have continued for the courses for at least 70% and the applications for at least 80% is required. Students are subjected to at least 1 midterm and final exam for each course. Success grade, midterm exam (grade of the assignment, quiz, etc., obtained from measuring tools in the scores may be considered), the contribution of 40%, while the contribution of the final exam Is 60%. Facilities
Education and training activities in our department are carried out with 1 Doctoral Faculty Member and 1 lecturer. Social Security Programme education and training process is carried out within Yerköy Vocational School of Justice. In Yerköy Vocational School of Justice, the courses are carried out in 2 84-person, 3 50-person classrooms with projection; 1 conference hall equipped with the latest technology for 250 people, 1 computer laboratory, 1 dining hall, 1 canteen and 1 library are used effectively. Students of our department can use the internet free of charge at internet access points throughout the day.
