General Description
History
Electronic Technology program started to accept students in the 2017-2018 academic year within the body of Yozgat Bozok University Boğazlıyan Vocational High School. The basic educational principle of the program; By combining current, scientific and technological studies, the student is trained in the field of electronics in a way that meets the needs of the technological age and trains the intermediate staff desired by the sector. The language of education is Turkish.
Qualification Awarded
Students who graduate from the Electronics Technology program are entitled to receive the title of "Electronic Technician".

Specific Admission Requirements
Within the framework of the regulations determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), student admission to this program is made through the examination system conducted by the Assessment, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Student registration procedures; It is done within the framework of the principles determined by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Every year, the Rectorate announces the registration date, required documents and registration places of the student candidates who will enroll in the University for the first time, by determining the units. Registration procedures are carried out by the Registrar's Office. Final registration is not possible with missing documents or by mail. Those who are found to have falsified documents will not be registered. Candidates must have a high school or equivalent school diploma and have received sufficient points from the University Student Selection Examination.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Recognition of previous formal learning in Turkish Higher Education Institutions, vertical, horizontal and university transfers. TRANSFER BETWEEN ASSOCIATE AND GRADUATE PROGRAMS IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS, DOUBLE MAJOR, MINOR AND INTER-INSTITUTIONAL CREDIT TRANSFER RELATED TO THE REGULATION". In Turkey, the recognition process of non-formal certificate-based or experience-based (in-formal and non-formal) learning outside of formal education institutions is still in its infancy. Therefore, the recognition of prior learning has not been fully initiated in all programs of Bozok University. However, an exemption exam is held at the beginning of each academic term for courses such as Computer and English and German included in the education plans of the programs. Students who think that they meet the expected qualifications from these courses have the right to take the exams. Students who pass the exam and pass the exam are exempted from the relevant courses in the curriculum.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Students who successfully complete a course load of 120 ECTS in the 2-year (4 half-term) education plan in our program and an industrial internship with a total of 20 working days (5 ECTS) graduate from the program.
Profile of The Programme
With the course content of the Electronic Technology Program, students; learns the basic principles of electronics, assembly, maintenance and repair of electronic equipment. Students; learns how to use measuring instruments, computer and up-to-date software programs prepared for industry, how to draw and read electronic circuit diagrams with a computer, how to control industrial machines electronically with a computer, and how to make maintenance and repairs when necessary. Students; They learn how to prepare a project with a technical report, and how to ensure job security of the workplace and personnel at the operating desk.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates of the Electronic Technology program are entitled to receive the title of "Electronic Technician". Electronic technicians; They can work as technicians in public institutions and organizations, and as intermediate skilled personnel in the private sector. They also have the opportunity to work on their own. The main business areas of the graduates of the program are; • With public institutions such as TEDAŞ, TEİAŞ, TRT, DSİ, Mechanical Chemistry Institute and Ministry of Energy, • Electricity, Electronic and Industrial Electronics industry production centers, • Electronic breakdown-maintenance and repair services, • In the automation systems industry, • Elevator manufacturing and assembly companies, • In control and command units of belt systems, • In maintenance, repair and assembly units of escalators, • Automotive and Aircraft industry, • In the Communication and Defense industry, • Computer systems (software, installation, repair) • They have a wide employment potential in all kinds of businesses that use electronic systems in the industry.
Access to Further Studies
Graduates can make vertical transfers to undergraduate programs related to their fields with the vertical transfer exam (DGS) if a quota is opened in their fields by making use of the Regulation on Transition to Undergraduate Programs. Those who successfully graduate from Vocational Schools can continue to four-year faculties related to their fields if they are successful in the vertical transfer exam. Departments and faculties they can attend; Electricity Teaching, Energy Teaching, Electronics Teaching, Electronics and Communications Teaching, Computer and Control Teaching, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Aviation Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
In order for each student to register for the courses at the beginning of the semester and take the final exam, they must attend at least 70% of the courses and at least 80% of the practices. For each course, students are subjected to midterm studies (midterm exam, quiz, homework, project, practice or similar studies) and final exam. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. In the semester courses, a midterm and a final exam are given. The success grade of the student is determined by adding 40% of the midterm and 60% of the final exam.
Graduation Requirements
In order for the student to graduate; A course load of 120 ECTS and a total of 20 working days (5 ECTS) industrial internships must be completed and a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Facilities
There are Basic Electronics Laboratory, Control Laboratory, Instrumentation Laboratory and PC Laboratories in our Vocational School so that our students can receive their education better and carry out professional practice courses. There is also a cafeteria, a conference room and computer facilities for Internet access.
