General Description
History
Our Vocational School of Health Services, which was established under Erciyes University, was incorporated into our university in 2006, following the establishment of Bozok University, in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of the Law No. 2547 of the Council of Higher Education, amended by Law No. 2880. With the efforts of our devoted educators who cooperate with the university and unit management, students were admitted to the First and Emergency Aid regular education program for the 2019-2020 Academic year.

Those who complete this program receive an associate degree in the field of "First and Emergency Aid Technician".

Transitions from other higher education institutions to the University, Regulation on the Principles of Transition between Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions published in the Official Gazette dated 24/4/2010, Double Major, Minor and Inter Institutions, Higher Education Council and Senate decisions. executed according to. The adaptation of these students to the education programs is made by the relevant unit management boards.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Those who complete their education in the curriculum are given an undergraduate diploma by explaining the unit and department name. Graduation date is the end date of the exam period determined in the academic calendar. Diplomas are signed by the Dean / Director of the unit related to the Rector.
Profile of The Programme
This program aims to train an Ambulance and Emergency Care Technician who can perform the first intervention required for patients or injured in pre-hospital health services effectively and safely, and ensure that patients or injured people can reach the health institutions safely
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates of this program are appointed by the Ministry of Health as an Ambulance and Emergency Care Technician if they receive the required score from KPSS. They can also work as Ambulance and Emergency Care Technicians in private health institutions and organizations, university hospitals.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
The number of midterm exams is determined by the decision of the academic unit's board, provided that at least one midterm exam is held every semester/year for each course. A final exam is held for each course every semester/year.
Graduation Requirements
Successful completion of all the courses in the program (120 ECTS in total) and having a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are required for graduation.

11. To have basic and clinical medical knowledge about the functioning, anatomy and diseases of the human body for the purpose of pre-hospital emergency care and rescue.
22. To apply emergency care and rescue attempts by using body mechanics correctly when necessary, based on the knowledge of basic and clinical medicine.
33. To be able to use the basic and clinical knowledge and skills specific to the field of first and emergency aid independently in the light of current information and technologies and taking responsibility under the supervision of professional ethical values.
44. To be able to critically evaluate and execute their knowledge in a lifelong learning framework by following the national and international developments with the awareness of lifelong learning, and the unforeseen complex problems encountered in applications related to the field of first and emergency aid, and adhering to professional and ethical values.

To be able to communicate effectively with the patient or survivor in order to collect data in the pre-hospital emergency care and rescue practices, to initiate appropriate initiatives for the data obtained, to be able to play a role as a spokesperson between the healthcare professionals and the patient or the victim, to work in cooperation with team members and other health disciplines. .

To obtain and interpret the data related to the field of first and emergency aid in the light of current technologies, to plan and implement the necessary first and emergency aid interventions, to protect their physical health in order to be able to observe professional ethical values ​​and to perform patient care adequately during the implementation of each intervention, and to improve the physical fitness level.
77. Follows the information in the field and communicates with colleagues by using a foreign language at least at the level of European Language Portfolio A2 General Level.
8 Using the technological knowledge and skills in the subjects related to First and Emergency Aid, informs the related people and institutions, and transfers the solution suggestions about the problems in written and verbally.

10Individual and public health have sufficient awareness of occupational safety and environmental protection, act in accordance with the relevant laws, regulations, legislation and professional ethical rules.

12To have the knowledge and skills for pre-hospital emergency patient care and rescue purposes, to have up-to-date information and skills specific to the field of first and emergency aid, to gain the ability to apply resuscitation practices, trauma patient approach, knowledge and skills on environmental emergencies.
