History
Yozgat Bozok University, Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies, Automotive Technology Program, which is one of the main departments of Sorgun Vocational School, was established in 2017 within Bozok University.

Specific Admission Requirements
Yozgat Bozok University Sorgun Vocational School Programs; Students who have received enough points as a result of the YKS exam conducted by the Higher Education Council Measurement, Selection and Placement Center and who meet the special conditions are accepted. In addition, students are also accepted through horizontal transfer and / or foreign student exam.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have previously succeeded in higher education institutions. In addition, an exemption exam is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the Foreign Language course and the courses recommended by the relevant boards and approved by the Senate. Students who get a grade of 50 or above in the exemption exam are exempted from these courses.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to obtain an associate degree in the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies - Automotive Technology Program; students must successfully complete all of the compulsory and elective courses (equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS) required in the program, complete 20 working days of Internship (STJ001) work and have a GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.00.
Profile of The Programme
The goal of the Automotive Technology Program education is to train technicians who can develop modern and smart products by using the technology of tomorrow on basic engineering disciplines. The automotive technicians of the future will be able to move easily between different main engineering branches (automotive, machinery, electronics, electrical and computer science) by selecting and using the necessary technologies and solving these problems with the best approach.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Automotive Technicians work in almost all levels of main and sub-industry automotive factories in titles and responsibilities that can be considered equivalent to technicians. However, it is seen that automotive technicians are densely populated in production and assembly lines and play an active role in production activities, provide communication and liaison between engineers, planners and managers and workers, serve as team leaders in quality circles, and take responsibility as trainers in the on-the-job training of personnel at lower levels in training activities. - Operator or foreman in vehicle technical services, - Operator or foreman in maintenance and repair works - Automotive equipment operator, - Operator or foreman in the automotive manufacturing industry, - Technical drawing reading-drawing, - Use of measuring and control devices, - In the fields of hydraulic-pneumatic systems, - Customer representative and salesperson in automotive and spare parts trade. In addition, authorized services, vehicle inspection stations, emission measurement centers are obliged to employ graduates of this program as determined by law. This is an important factor for the employment of program graduates.
Access to Further Studies
Those who have successfully completed the Automotive Technology associate degree program of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies can continue to the following 4-year undergraduate departments if they get enough points in the Vertical Transfer Examination held by the Student Selection and Placement Center every year: - Industrial Engineering - Energy Systems Engineering - Energy Management - Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering - Marine Engineering - Marine Engineering - Mechanical Engineering - Automotive Engineering - Aircraft Airframe - Engine - Aircraft Airframe - Engine Maintenance In addition, students who graduate from this program can transfer to the following Anadolu University open education undergraduate programs by taking differential courses. - Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, - Public Relations and Advertising, - Public Relations and Publicity, - Economics, - Business Administration, - Public Administration, - Finance, - Political Science and Public Administration, - Tourism Management, - International Relations,.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
For each course, at least one midterm exam, one activity (homework, laboratory exam, quiz, etc.) and one final exam are held. The number of these activities and their contribution to the success grade are specified by the instructor in the course plan. All exams are evaluated out of 100 points. The success grade is evaluated with the relative evaluation system and converted into letter grades. In order to be considered successful in a course, a student must receive a letter grade of at least CC. Students with a GPA of at least 2.00 are also considered conditionally successful in courses in which they receive letter grades of (DC), (DD) and (CD).
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the Automotive Technology Program, it is necessary to meet the following requirements: - To succeed in all courses in the curriculum with a total of 120 ECTS credits. - To have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00. - To complete 20 working days (5 ECTS credits) summer internship.

Facilities
In order to carry out the program, 2 classrooms and 1 computer laboratory have been allocated to the program. There is also an Automotive department laboratory. Sorgun Vocational School has a computer room and a gym where sports activities can be done.
