General Description
History
Our Vocational School has been incorporated into Yozgat Bozok University in accordance with the letter dated 19/12/2016 and numbered 80562 of the Department of Education and Training of the Council of Higher Education and the Article 7/d-2 of the Law No. 2547 of the Council of Higher Education, as amended by the Law No. 2880. . Elderly Care Program started education in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Specific Admission Requirements
Admission and registration requirements for this program are made within the scope of Turkish Higher Education Legislation. Students who have graduated from vocational high schools are accepted to the program within the quota of the program. Standard high school graduates are placed in empty places according to the results of Entrance Examination to Higher Education. Placement is carried out by OSYM. Admission requirements are the same as for the Higher Education Entrance System.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Recognition of the previous formal (formal) learning in Turkish Higher Education institutions, vertical, horizontal and transitions within the university. Regulation ". based on non-formal certification outside formal educational institutions in Turkey or based on experience (in-formal and non-formal) recognition of the learning process it is at an early stage. Therefore, recognition of prior learning is not fully initiated in all programs of Bozok University. However, exemption exams are held at the beginning of each academic term for courses such as Computer and English and German in the curriculum of the programs. Students who feel that they meet the expected qualifications of these courses have the right to take the exams. Students who pass the exam are exempt from the related courses in the curriculum.

Successful completion of all courses in the program (equivalent to 120 ECTS in total) and having a minimum GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 is a necessary condition for graduation.
Profile of The Programme
Assimilate the concepts and principles related to the subject, based on universal science and education in the field, combining theoretical knowledge with practice, fulfilling the professional requirements of the profession, preparing the necessary environment, knowing the basic characteristics, care and needs of elderly individuals, people who can offer treatment, support and rehabilitation services is to educate professionals who have the characteristics of loving, respectful, creative, tolerant and patient personality, and who can work in the institutions providing elderly care services that are holistic approach to elderly individuals.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates of this program, if they get the required score from KPSS Nursing Home, Geriatrics Center and so on. are assigned to organizations. They may also work in private institutions depending on individuals and institutions.
Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed associate degree education can take undergraduate programs in related fields provided that they take valid grade from DGS exam.

Facilities
After graduation, students can complete 4-year undergraduate programs. They can work in the hospital as an elderly care technician.
