Profile of The Programme
The Construction Technology Program is a program that provides pre-education and training on the construction and operation of any building that people use in their daily lives. Construction Technology is a technical discipline based on mathematics and physics education and then general information is given in major engineering sciences such as building, mechanics, hydraulics, building materials, transportation, geotechnical and building management. The main goal of the program is; to train technical staff who follow science and technology, equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to transfer this information into practice in parallel with the developing technology. For this purpose, in our program, besides the theoretical information, practical information to be used in the field of application and language training of many computer programs (SAP2000, IDESTATIC, AUTOCAD) related to the department are provided. Students who graduate from the construction technology program are expected to: special engineering, architecture offices, construction companies, building inspection firms and the public sector are trained as necessary intermediate staff (professions) who have sufficient knowledge and business skills in the subjects they need.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Construction technicians; It is the profession group that works as a technical staff in natural resource, transportation / highway, building departments and material testing laboratories of firms that actively take part in construction constructions of dams, roads, airports, residences, etc., and provide control services. They play an important role as technical staff in the planning, project, construction and control phases of all structures, from roads, bridges, dams, airports, water supply / distribution systems and residential to commercial centers.
Access to Further Studies
Graduates of the department can continue to some programs of open education without examination. Those who are successful in the applied adaptation program continue from the 3rd grade. They have a bachelor's degree from a field other than their field (business, economics etc.). 2-They can continue their education in their fields by entering the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) in the departments that are made after graduation and determined in their fields.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
In order for each student to register for the courses at the beginning of the semester and to take the final exam, they must have attended at least 70% of the courses and at least 80% of the practices.
