History
Yozgat Bozok University, Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies, Automotive Technology Program, which is one of the basic departments of Yozgat Vocational School, was established in 2017 within Bozok University.

Specific Admission Requirements
Yozgat Bozok University Yozgat Vocational School Programs; Students who have received enough points as a result of the YKS exam conducted by the Higher Education Council Measurement, Selection and Placement Center and who meet the special conditions are accepted. In addition, students are also accepted through horizontal transfer and / or foreign student exam.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have previously succeeded in higher education institutions. In addition, an exemption exam is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the Foreign Language course and the courses recommended by the relevant boards and approved by the Senate. Students who get a grade of 50 or above in the exemption exam are exempted from these courses.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to obtain an associate degree in the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies - Automotive Technology Program; students must successfully complete all of the compulsory and elective courses (equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS) required in the program, complete 20 working days of Internship (STJ001) work and have a GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.00.
Profile of The Programme
The goal of the Automotive Technology Program education is to train technicians who can develop contemporary and smart products on basic engineering disciplines, using the technology of tomorrow. Our aim is to train future automotive technicians who can easily move between different main engineering branches (automotive, machinery, electronics, electrical and computer science) and solve these problems with the best approach by selecting and using the necessary technologies to solve the problems they will encounter.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Automotive Technicians take part in the titles and responsibilities that can be counted as technician counterparts in almost all levels of the main and sub-industry automotive factories. However, it is seen that automotive technicians are present in the production and assembly lines intensively and they play an active role in production works, they provide communication and liaison between engineers, planners, and managers, they work as team leaders in quality circles, and the lower levels of personnel take responsibility as on-the-job trainers in training activities. • Operator or foreman in vehicle technical service, • Operator or foreman in maintenance and repair works • Automotive equipment operator, • Operator or foreman in the automotive manufacturing industry, • Technical drawing reading-drawing, • Use of measuring and control devices, • In the fields of the hydraulic-pneumatic system, • Customer representative and salesperson in the automotive and spare parts business. In addition, authorized services, vehicle inspection stations, emission measurement centers are required to employ graduates who have graduated from this program as determined by law. This is an important element for the employment of graduates of the program.
Access to Further Studies
Those who successfully complete the Automotive Technology associate degree program of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies can continue to the 4-year undergraduate departments mentioned below if they get sufficient points in the Vertical Transfer Exam held every year by the Student Selection and Placement Center: • Industrial Engineering • Energy systems Engineering • Energy Management • Naval Architecture and Marine Mechanical Engineering • Ship Machinery Management Engineering • Ship and Marine Technology Engineering • Mechanical Engineering • Automotive engineering • Aircraft Body – Engine • Airframe - Engine Maintenance Additionally, students who graduate from this program can make vertical transfer to the following Anadolu University open education undergraduate programs by taking difference courses. • Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, • Public relations and advertising, • Public Relations and Promotion, • Economics, • Business, • Public administration, • Finance, • Political science and public administration, • Tourism management, • International relations,.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
For each course, at least one midterm exam, one activity (homework, laboratory exam, quiz, etc.) and one final exam are held. The number of these activities and their contribution to the success grade are stated in the lesson plan by the instructor. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. The success grade is evaluated with the relative evaluation system and converted into a letter grade. In order to be considered successful in a course, the student must receive at least a CC letter grade. Students with a GPA of at least 2.00 are considered conditionally successful in the courses in which they received (DC), (DD) and (CD) letter grades.
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the Automotive Technology Program, the following requirements must be met: • To achieve all courses in the curriculum with a total of 120 ECTS credits. • Having a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00. • 20 working days (5 ECTS credits) to complete the summer practice.

Facilities
In order to carry out the program, 2 classrooms and 1 computer laboratory were allocated to the program. In addition, the department's computer lab, technical drawing-room, and workshops will be used by the program as needed.
