General Description
History
Graphic Design Program was established in 2020.
Qualification Awarded
An associate degree in GRAPHIC DESIGN is awarded to students who have successfully completed all the courses available in the program (for a total of 120 ECTS), have achieved a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00, and have completed their vocational internship. This diploma degree awarded corresponds to the fifth level of education within the scope of the European Qualifications Framework.

Specific Admission Requirements
Yozgat Bozok University Yozgat Vocational School Programs; As a result of the YKS exam conducted by the Higher Education Council Assessment, Selection and Placement Center, students who have sufficient points and meet special conditions are admitted. Students are also admitted to the programs through lateral transfer. These transitions are regulated by a directive and students can transfer between diploma programs of different Higher Education institutions or diploma programs within the same Higher Education institution, but within the framework of the pre-announced number and transition conditions.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
The process of recognition of prior education in Turkish Higher Education Councils is still in its infancy. For this reason, the recognition of prior education has not been fully initiated in all programs of Yozgat Bozok University. However, an exemption exam is held at the beginning of each academic year for the compulsory foreign language course in the curriculum of the departments. Students who have completed the learning process from these courses on their own or who think that they have achieved the learning outcomes in these courses in different ways have the right to take these exams. Students who are successful in the exam are exempt from the relevant course in the curriculum.

In order to obtain an associate degree in Graphic Design Program; Students must successfully complete all of the compulsory and elective courses (total 120 ECTS) required to take in the program, complete the internship in 20 working days, and have a GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.00.

Access to Further Studies
Transition to Senior Programs Those who successfully complete the Graphic Design associate degree program of the Department of Design can continue to the following 4-year undergraduate programs if they get enough points in the Vertical Transfer Exam held every year by the Student Selection and Placement Center: Photograph Photo and Video Visual Communication Visual communication design Visual arts Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Graphic Graphic design Graphic design Communication Design Communication and Design In addition, students who graduate from this program take difference courses and enter the Open Education Undergraduate Programs of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty, Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Business; Open Education Undergraduate Programs of Atatürk University Open Education Faculty; It is possible to transfer vertically to undergraduate programs of Istanbul University Open and Distance Education Faculty. The sections with the right of way are; Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Economics, Public Administration, Finance, International Relations, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Public Relations and Advertising, Public Relations and Publicity
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
In order for each student to register for the courses at the beginning of the semester and take the final exam, they must attend at least 70% of the courses and at least 80% of the practices. Students are subjected to at least one midterm and final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam (the scores obtained from measurement tools such as homework, laboratory exam, quiz, etc.) to the success grade is 40%, and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. In order to graduate, the student must complete a course load of 120 ECTS and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0.
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the Graphic Design Program, it is necessary to meet the following requirements: • To pass all the courses in the course plan with a total of 120 ECTS credits. • To have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00. • Completing 20 working days (5 ECTS credits) summer internship.
