General Description
History
Interior Design Program was established in 2020. Student admission has started in 2021-2022 education.
Qualification Awarded
Students who successfully complete this program are entitled to receive an Associate Degree in Interior Design. Graduates of the program graduate with the title of "Interior Design Technician".

Specific Admission Requirements
Interior Design Program, under the Department of Design; It offers two years of education after the relevant departments of vocational high schools. In addition, for the students who graduated from normal or any high school, students who get the relevant score in the Higher Education Institutions Exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) are selected.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Students who enroll in the program may be exempt from courses they have successfully completed at higher education institutions where they have previously studied. Moreover; Exemption exams are held at the beginning of each academic year for Foreign Language courses and courses deemed appropriate by the relevant boards and the Senate. Students who get a score of 50 or above from the exemption exam are considered exempt from these courses.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to obtain an associate degree in the Department of Design - Interior Design Program; Students must successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses (equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS) that they must take in the program, complete 20 working days of Internship (STJ001) and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.00.

Interior design aims to improve the quality of interior living spaces and user comfort by combining ergonomic, functionality, aesthetic and technological elements.

The study areas of this program can be summarized as follows: Students who graduate from the field of interior design will be able to find job opportunities in the following fields. In Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design offices, In the design departments of furniture factories, As a project staff in restoration companies, As a drawing staff or designer in architecture, engineering and construction offices, As a business follower in interior project applications, They can work as managers, administrative assistants, officials and controllers in model making offices and design-related sectors. They can be appointed to various government institutions by KPSS. Those who continue their undergraduate education with Vertical Transfer can also make an Academic Career.
Access to Further Studies
Those who successfully complete the associate degree program of the Department of Interior Design can continue to the following 4-year undergraduate programs if they get enough points in the Vertical Transfer Exam held every year by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM): Interior architecture Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Handicrafts Traditional Turkish Arts Restoration and Conservation architecture Gilding They can transfer vertically to the illumination (ornamentation) undergraduate programs. In addition, students who graduate from this program take difference courses and enter the Open Education Undergraduate Programs of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty, Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Business; Open Education Undergraduate Programs of Atatürk University Open Education Faculty; It is possible to transfer vertically to undergraduate programs of Istanbul University Open and Distance Education Faculty. The sections with the right of way are; Economics, Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Economics, Public Administration, Finance, International Relations, Business Administration, Hospitality Management.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
For each course, at least one midterm exam, one activity (homework, laboratory exam, quiz, etc.) and one final exam are held. The number of these activities and their contribution to the success grade are stated in the lesson plan by the instructor. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. The success grade is evaluated with the relative evaluation system and converted into a letter grade. In order to be considered successful in a course, the student must receive at least a CC letter grade. Students with a GPA of at least 2.00 are considered conditionally successful in the courses in which they received (DC), (DD) and (CD) letter grades.
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the Interior Design Program, it is necessary to meet the following requirements: To pass all the courses in the lesson plan that have a total of 120 ECTS credits. To have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00. To complete the internship in 20 working days (5 ECTS credits). For each course, students are subjected to activities during the term (quiz, form, homework) and a final exam. All exams are evaluated over 100 points.

Facilities
Contributing to the creation of a better environment for people, educating students equipped with the necessary knowledge to make people's living spaces more comfortable. The purpose of interior design education is to train individuals who are open to change, creative, qualified, produce knowledge, and use art and science together. It aims to train designers who can produce contemporary, creative and original designs for the sector in interior design, evaluate the leading ideas that can create the product, and know the materials and production techniques. The main objective of the Interior Design program is to train qualified Interior Designers who can meet the needs of the sector, have good command of computer use, develop manual dexterity, and take charge in all fields of art and design. Within Yozgat Vocational School, library, computer area, cafeteria and canteen services are provided. There is also an Interior Design Workshop.
