General Description
History
Faculty of Engineering-Architecture of the Erciyes University Yozgat Campus established with Decree Law No. 496 in 1993 has Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Electric-Electronic Engineering, Computer Programming, Urban and City Planning and Architecture departments. Education of the Biosystems Engineering department was started 2010 -2011 academic year with its first students and education of the Biosystems Engineering department has continued Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Engineering-Architecture.
Qualification Awarded
The Bachelor's Degree in Biosystems Engineering ( first cycle in Biosystems Engineering) is awarded to the graduates who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Transfer can be made among the institutions of which equivalency is recognized by Higher Education Council. Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Students must obtain a grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and successfully pass all courses on the programme (equivalent to a total of 240 ECTS).
Profile of The Programme
The program includes four divisions namely, agricultural machinery systems, agricultural energy systems, land and water resources and agricultural structures. An academic year contains two semesters of 15 weeks including registration and examination periods. Some courses are also given in summer semester. The language of teaching is in Turkish.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Students who have the Bachelors degree from Biosystems Engineering are employed in many different fields of areas, such as ministry of food, agriculture and livestock, state water works, as academician in universities, private agricultural company concerned with protected cultivation, state and private banks, engineering and consulting firm, international company concerned with agriculture, machinery industry based on food and livestock.
Access to Further Studies
The graduates holding Bachelor’s Degree are eligible to apply to Master’s Degree programmes at national level and /or international level both in the same and in related disciplines.

The academic staff is composed of 1 full time assistant professor. 3 research assistants are employed in the department.

1Have enough theoretical and applied knowledge in the fields of Mathematics, Basic Science and Biosystems Engineering and perform them.
2Can identify, formulate and solve the problems that may arise in Biosystems Engineering.
