General Description
History
Our department has opened in 2016 and includes 4 Assoc. Prof. and 2 Assist. Prof. and 1 Research Asssistant. In 2018, as a result of the acceptance of the departments application, we have started receiving students back in 2018-2019 Fall Semester and have started education and training activities.

The graduates of our department receive a diploma with the title of INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS BACHELORS DEGREE

Specific Admission Requirements
Students registering the Department of International Relations must be successful at the central ÖSYM exams in accordance with the academic and legal regulations of the university. Undergraduate transfers between institutions and within the departments of the university must comply with the regulations of Higher Council of Education and be conducted according to the rules determined by the Senate.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Our department may accept students passing the lateral or vertical transfer exams when the course adjustments are provided.

Profile of The Programme
The aim of the International Relations Department of Yozgat Bozok University is to educate experts who understand the political, social and economic changes at national and international levels and emphasize the beliefs and values, interests and targets of our country within the circle of culture and civilization. Our department is in contact with disciplines such as political science, law, economics, sociology, history, geography and social psychology. Our department provides Turkish education. Students who want to get a bachelor's degree from our department must successfully complete the four-year program. The graduates of Yozgat Bozok University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Relations are awarded with a four-year program. In the Undergraduate Program in International Relations, courses taken jointly with other departments in the first year, while vocational courses are beginning to gain weight from the third semester. In the courses containing professional knowledge, the characteristics, structure, functioning, transformation, legal ground, actors' perspective and competence are tried to be gained. In our rich elective course pool, there are regional policies, international organizations and law and political science courses.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
The department has a wide range of job opportunities. As a graduate of this department, working areas include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior , as well as undersecretaries, state economic enterprises, development agencies, etc.. Graduates of this program can also work in the embassies abroad, in the Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities, and in institutions and organizations operating in the field of international relations such as the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA). Students who have graduated from the department of International Relations may be employed in other fields such as the areas where other graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences are employed, administrative judges, district governors, experts, inspectors and private companies as foreign trade advisors and foreign affairs supervisors. Another business area, non-governmental organizations operating in Turkey and the world, duties are international organizations like the UN and expertise on issues related non- government organizations such as the OSCE and consulting. Graduates can be considered as an alternative to their duties in academia, tourism, foreign trade and other private sectors.
Access to Further Studies
Students who successfully complete the program can apply for master's and doctoral degrees in the fields of International Relations, Political Science and Public Administration, Public Administration, Political Science and International Relations, EU Politics, Sociology or other disciplines that accept students from these fields.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Exams are evaluated on 100-point basis. Results of midterm and final exams are announced numerically. The results of exams not attended are evaluated as 0. Accordingly, a) the midterm average is calculated dividing the total score of midterms by the number of midterms. The result is rounded up. b) The gross score is calculated by adding the 40 percent of the midterm average to the 60 percent of the score of the final exam. In this calculation fractions are kept during the summation, however the final gross score is rounded up. c) The last grades are calculated by using the final gross score via relative methods which are to be determined by the Senate.
Graduation Requirements
In order to attain a BS degree in International Relations students should successfully complete all the compulsory and elective courses (corresponding to 240 ETCS ) and should get at least 2.00 cumulative out of 4.00. Furthermore, students have to complete undergraduate thesis/summer practice held in the fal lor spring semestre of final year.

Facilities
Department of educational activities and academic activities run by 4 Assoc.. Prof. and 2 Assist. Prof. In our faculty there are 2 computer labs, each with a capacity of 40 students, for computer-based courses.
