Faculty of Education of Yozgat Bozok University established in 2008. Since 2013-2014 academic year it has continued to provide education as Preschool Teacher Education Programme for four years. |

Specific Admission Requirements |
Right of admission and registration to the Department of Preschool Teaching can be obtained with YGS-5 score of YGS an examination made by ÖSYM (Center for Student Selection and Placement). Students’ admission to any department is subject to scores obtained in these examination. Students make their choices according to their scores and submit the form of choice to ÖSYM. Then ÖSYM places students according to their scores and quotas of departments by ranking students from highest to lowest scores. The students who are admitted to the Department should also submit following document: 1-Photocopy of ID card or passport. 2-Diploma of high school or equivalent. 3-Document received from ÖSYM proving placement. 4-Six photographs. |
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
Transfer can be made among the institutions of which equivalency is recognized by Higher Education Council. Also successful vocational school graduates to continue their educaiton to obtain Bachelor’s degrees if they are successful in the selection and the placement examination (DGS, i.e. vertical transfer examination) are admitted. |

Students must obtain a grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and successfully pass all courses on the programme (equivalent to a total of 240 ECTS). |
Profile of The Programme |
Preschool Education Program administers an education program to educate effective preschool teachers having basic knowledge and skills about prechool education and child development. The program includes must courses about teaching job and liberal education. In addition to must courses, the program offers elective courses for students' choosing in terms of their own preferences. By this way, Preschool Education Program educates preschool teachers who is able to give required eduation to 0-6 aged children in terms of their developmental characteristics via individual study or study in groups and is able to maintain their own professional development. |
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples |
The graduates of this program can be assigned as preschool teacher by Ministry of National Education if they take required grades from Civil Servants Selection Exam (known as KPSS in Turkey). Furthermore, the graduates can become director or teacher in private schools. Besides this, they can work as teachers in private education institutions giving education for children with special needs. |
Access to Further Studies |
The graduates holding Bachelor’s Degree are eligible to apply to Master’s Degree programmes at national level and /or international level both in the same and in related disciplines. |
