General Description
History
Field Crops Department was founded in 1992 under Agriculture Faculty with four professor and, begun to education at the level of bachelor and MSc in 2010. Field Crops Department is progress to its education activity in Yozgat.
Qualification Awarded
students in undergraduated education programs who all of the theoretical and practical courses with internships are successful are award licens diploma.Students require to take at least 2.00 to be successful from the their courses in 4 point grading system

A applicant student must have lyceum degree and take a edequate score in LYS exam
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
The students should refer 15 days before the education year begins, for the exemption of the lectures which they succeed before. The assessment is made according to the rules of the Faculty Senate. For the English, an exemption exam is organized at the beginning of the education year. The students who could be successful with the exams, have the right of the exemption for these lectures.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
To have the average of the grades at least 2.00 from the system with the highest average grade 4.00. To have been studied all lectures (240 AKTS) successfuly.

The aim of the program is to educate engineers who can apply modern technology in production and breeding of crops suc as cereals, oil plants, pulse, forage crops and also patures,
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
The graduates can find jobs in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Agricultural Research Institutes, other official institutions, agricultural cooperatives, processing plant for sugar beet, tobacco, forages, etc. and seed companies and in private sectors which sell fertilizer and pesticides.
Access to Further Studies
The applicants who hold a Bachelor's Degree may apply to graduate programmes offered at national level and or international level both in Agriculture Engineering and in related disciplines.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Assesment and grading for every lecture is defined as detailed in the course description plan. The assesment of the lectures is made based on the relative graduation system. The assesment of the lectures is made according to the 21. rule of the education rules which belong to the B U. Faculty of Agriculture. The grade of a lecture is obtained with the addition of 40% of the midterm exam grade and grades of other educational activities to 60% of the final exam grade. In theorotical courses, the grades which belong to the mid term exam and other educational activities are not assesed when the student is identified not successful with the theorotical exam. These students are declared as not successful with the lecture, without attending the final exam and the grade is assesed as FF (absentee).
Graduation Requirements
As additional to the section qualifications requirement and regulations, there is an obligation to have proffesional training for 30 days

The Field Crops Department comrises a one subsection "agronomy and breeding pf field crops" The Department has 6 academic (13 Prof., 1 Asc. Prof.,2 Asst. Prof.,2 Ress. Asst.,1 Expert and 3 Agric. Eng.) and 4 technical and official staff.

14They follow up informations in the field and communicate with their colleagues by using any forange language at least B1 level of European Language Portfolio.
