Specific Admission Requirements |
Students who want to register in the Department of Agricultural Economics must complete the processes determined by measurement, selection and placement center (OSYM) within the framework of the academic and legal regulations of the university / have passed the exams. A student who has started his education in an equivalent program in domestic or abroad can apply for undergraduate transfer. Matriculation is started before the semester beginning. Each student who applies is examined and evaluated individually. |
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
Students studying at Yozgat Bozok University may be exempt from certain lectures within the framework of certain regulations. If the content of the lectures taken at another university is in accordance with the content and credits/ECTS of the lectures given in our university and it is approved by the relevant faculty, the student may be exempted from this lecture. |
Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
In order to successfully complete all of the courses (240 ECTS in total) available in the program, it is sufficient to achieve a minimum grade point average of 2.0 out of 4.0 are the required qualification conditions for graduation. |
Profile of The Programme |
The Department of Agricultural Economics carries out a training plan in order to train agricultural engineers who are suitable for the conditions of the age and business life. İn this way the Department of Agricultural Economics aims to train graduates who are prone to interdisciplinary studies, who think inquisitively, and who can find creative and original solutions to problems. Students take basic Agricultural Engineering lectures as well as Agricultural Economics lectures. In addition to the compulsory lectures, the education plan also includes optional lectures. |

Agricultural engineers who graduated from Agricultural Economics Department; They can work in many public and private sector organizations. Among them the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Export Promotion Center, Various Public and Private Sector Banks, Agricultural-Based Industrial Enterprises, Agricultural Cooperatives, Control and Certification Institutions, Agricultural Industry Consulting Firms can be involved. |
Access to Further Studies |
Students who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can study in graduate programs in their own field or related fields, provided that they get a valid grade from the Selection Exam for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies (ALES) and have sufficient English language knowledge. |
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
The method of measurement and evaluation applied for each lecture is described in the Lecture Teaching Plan. The succes grade of a lecture comprise of the average of the student's scores from the midterm exams and if any, a definite percentage of the average scores obtained from other educational activities and It is obtained by adding a definite percentage of the final exam score. In applied courses, a practice exam is given and in order to take the final exam, it is necessary to be successful in the practice exam. |
