The Department of Health Management has started training activities fin 2019-2020 academic year. Thelanguage of instruction is Turkish.

After graduation, bachelor's degree in Health Management is obtained and the title of "Science Specialist" is attained.

The adaptation program is implemented for students who are accepted by horizontal transfer.

In order to obtain a master's degree in Health Management, students must successfully complete all of the compulsory and elective courses (total 120 ECTS) and successfully defend their thesis.
Profile of The Programme
Department of Health Management aims to educate highly qualified health managementprofessionals for the health sector with postgraduate educationprogrammes. The graduates are expected to have developed a professional identity and personalityby all means. They are also expected to be the ones who have self-confidence , knows the World andhis/her country well, adopt contemporary and universal values, are curious and willing to learn formore; have the knowledge, ability and the ideal to administer health care institutions, use foreignlanguages very well; have the spirit of entrepreneurship directed to production; have developedcommunication and leadership skills necessary for his/her profession.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates of this department take charge in public (Ministry of Health, Universities, Armed ForcesAffiliated Hospitals) or private sector (private hospitals, pharmaceutical and medical devicecompanies, insurance companies and other private health institutions). They can take charge indepartment of account and finance, human resources department, marketing department and patientrelations department of healthcare institutions. They also have chance to be employed as asupervisor or specialist at several public institutions notably Ministry of Health and Social Securityİnstitution.
Access to Further Studies
The students who successfully complete the health management program can apply for the PhD degrees either in the department of business management or other disciplines that acceptstudents from this area.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Exams are graded out of 100 point. The results of the mid-term and final exams of the course areindicated by the numerical score. If the student does not take the exam, then the result of the exam is“0/zero” point. Accordingly; a) The average score of the midterm exam is determined by dividing thetotal points of the intermediate exams to the number of intermediate exams taken by the students.Fractional numbers to be found with that way are to be rounded up. b) The calculation of the rawsuccess score is given by the total of the 40% of the midterm exam(s) and the 60% of the final exam.The fractions are kept as the same in the calculation of the ratios. However, the fractional numbersare to be rounded up in the calculation of raw success score. c) Achievement scores are determinedby the rules which are set by Senate of the university with the relative evaluation system, by usingraw success scores.

Facilities
Educational and academic activities of the department are implemented by 9 academic staff: 2 assocprof, 6 assistant professors and 1 research assistant. The faculty has 2 computer labs that have thecapacity for 40 students each for the computer-based courses.
