General Description
History
The Political Science and Public Administration master's program with thesis, established within the body of Yozgat Bozok University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, became operational in the 2020-2021 academic year. The language of education is Turkish.

Students who graduate from the Political Science and Public Administration master's program receive the "POLITICAL SCIENCE AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION SCIENCE" master's degree.

Specific Admission Requirements
From the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences or the Faculty of Law; Having a bachelor's degree from Political Science, Political Science and Public Administration, Public Administration, Political Science and International Relations, International Relations, Finance, Economics or Law. To have taken the Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Examination (ALES) held in the last five years and to have received at least 55 points from the Equal Weight score type from this exam. To have a minimum score of 2.00 out of 4.00 or equivalent in undergraduate graduation GPA.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The aim of Bozok University Department of Political Science and Public Administration is to train experts who understand the political, social and economic changes taking place at national and international levels, and who emphasize the beliefs and values, interests and goals of our country within the framework of culture and civilization. The Department of Political Science and Public Administration includes three sub-disciplines: Political and Social Sciences, Management Science and Urbanization and Environmental Problems. In this context, our department is in contact with disciplines such as law, economics, sociology, history, geography and social psychology and has a department curriculum accordingly. While the Department of Political and Social Sciences includes the concepts, events and facts in the hinterland of the notion of politics as a science, through their determinants and effects in Turkish and world politics; The Department of Management Science deals with the formation, management and implementation of public organizations and public policies at the level of local and national administrations of the state. Thus, the discipline includes program management (planning, decision making, organising, directing, implementation and evaluation) and resource management (human resource management and budgeting). The Department of Urbanization and Environmental Problems is a discipline that includes the urbanization process and policies at the local and national level, ecology and ecological problems in close contact with sociology, law, politics and social sciences.

Graduates of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration have many job opportunities in the public, private and academic fields. In the public sector, ministries, relevant public institutions and central and provincial organizations of public banks can have A group careers such as assistant inspector, assistant expert, district governor candidacy, assistant auditor, trainee controller. In addition, they have the opportunity to be a group B civil servant in the public sector. In the private sector, there are opportunities for national and international companies to work in the finance - accounting, trade, R&D, human resources, marketing departments, starting from lower-level positions, and working in middle and senior management levels. However, they can have jobs in private banks in positions such as service assistant, assistant specialist and assistant inspector. In the academic field, they can continue their graduate education and training and take part in the research assistant and lecturer staff of universities according to their preferred field of education.
Access to Further Studies
Students who successfully complete the program can apply for doctoral degrees in Political Science and Public Administration, Public Administration, Political Science and International Relations, or in other disciplines that accept students from this field.

Graduation Requirements
In order to obtain a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Administration, students must have successfully completed all of the compulsory and elective courses (a total of 120 ECTS) and have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Facilities
Educational and academic activities in the department are provided by 3 doctoral lecturers. There are 2 computer laboratories in our faculty, each with a capacity of 40 students, for computer-based courses.
