General Description
History
The Department of Agricultural Sciences is a multidisciplinary master's program with a multidisciplinary structure, which started accepting students as of the 2020-2021 academic year and was formed by the merger of all departments within the Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Agriculture. With the Graduate Program of Agricultural Sciences, it is aimed to provide this opportunity to graduates with many undergraduate degrees who are interested in agricultural sciences, who want to improve themselves or engage in activities in these fields, or who want to do academic work by contributing to the development process, and to bring the human resources trained in this field to our country.
Qualification Awarded
In the field of agriculture, there is a temporary and rapid change depending on technological developments, scientific findings, consumption habits and changes in ecological conditions. In the face of this rapid change, new and comprehensive studies are needed in order to provide economically and biologically sustainable agricultural production and to provide an adequate response to the needs of the field. Agriculture has transformed from a labor-intensive sector to a knowledge- and technology-intensive sector. This process requires people from many different fields to work together. Therefore, it is clear that in the near future, besides the studies on specific subjects in the field of agriculture, multi-disciplinary studies that allow the use of technology, increase competitiveness, effective resource use and sustainability will increase. For this reason, it is foreseen that the Agricultural Sciences Master's Program will develop within this framework and that they will be the first graduates of graduate education in our country, especially in industrial hemp studies.
