Profile of The Programme |
Our Department of Economics, which provides education under the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Bozok University, started education in the 1995-1996 academic year under Erciyes University. In the 25-year period, in addition to undergraduate education, a suitable environment has been prepared for master's and master's education in terms of scientific studies and research. The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences was separated from Erciyes University as one of the faculties affiliated to Bozok University with the decision of the Council of Ministers in 2006. After this date, institutes affiliated to Bozok University were established and the necessity of postgraduate education emerged in the departments established under these institutes. In the past, faculty members of both the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Yozgat Bozok University have gained experience and knowledge of the graduate program. The academic staff, laboratory and computer infrastructure required for the execution of the master's program in the established department have been sufficient. Despite its short history, the Department of Economics has reached the level of providing a modern and dynamic education with its infrastructure and teaching staff, and our instructors have gained great experience with national and international projects. Today; There is a need for economics graduates who are equipped with a scientific understanding that can build a solid bridge between theory and practice, can use research methods to meet people's needs, and have the knowledge and skills to conduct national and international research. In order for the quality of education and research to grow and develop with an increasing trend, more research staff is naturally needed. In this framework, 3 Research Assistants are working in the Department of Economics and this number will increase gradually in the coming years. With the participation of both these research assistants and graduate and doctorate students, the scientific researches, projects and publications that the Department of Economics is doing or will make will further progress and increase.
