General Description
History
Our department has started education in the 2020-2021 Spring Term. There are two programs in our department, thesis and the non-thesis master's program.
Qualification Awarded
Graduates of the program are entitled to receive a Master's Degree with Thesis in the field of Media and Communication Sciences.

Specific Admission Requirements
Graduated from Public Relations and Publicity, Public Relations and Advertising, Radio, Television and Cinema, Cinema and Television, Journalism, Press and Publication, Communication Design or Communication Departments of the relevant faculties.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Students studying at the Graduate Education Institute may be exempt from certain courses within the framework of certain regulations. In case the content of the course taken at another institution is accepted as equivalent to the related program of the institute, the student may be exempted from that course, provided that it is suitable for the content of the given course and approved by the relevant faculty/institute.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The qualification conditions and rules of the Master's Programs are determined by the issues specified in the Yozgat Bozok University graduate education and examination regulations. Undergraduate diploma, Transcript document, ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Examination) document and foreign language certificate, if available. For foreign students, undergraduate diploma and transcript.
Profile of The Programme
It aims to equip the students with the most up-to-date information in the relevant program area and to renew the existing information in the master's programs. The aim of the program is to train a qualified workforce that has advanced analysis and problem-solving skills, can think critically and creatively, establish and maintain effective relationships, implement teamwork in the most effective way, take initiative, manage risk and change, and act within the framework of business ethics while doing all these. With this program, students will have the opportunity to comprehend the media sector and communication phenomenon with a global understanding and will have taken important steps in making a difference both personally and professionally. At the end of the program, students gain a solid foundation to be able to work in their own fields both in Turkey and all over the world.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Students who graduate from the program have the opportunity to progress academically in their careers. In terms of communication faculty graduates, graduates of graduate programs expand the career opportunities offered by the undergraduate field in terms of qualification. Those who apply from outside of the field and complete the program are closer to the profile that will deal with job opportunities in corporate communication departments, advertising agencies, radio, television and cinema sector, local and national newspapers. Apart from these, graduates who apply from within and outside the field and finish the program benefit from the opportunities opened academically and are entitled to a doctorate education, which is a higher degree.
Access to Further Studies
Students who successfully complete their undergraduate education are entitled to apply to the doctoral program if they get a valid grade from the ALES exam and have sufficient foreign language knowledge.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Exams are held on the dates announced by the university, at the specified place and time. Students must attend the exams and attend the classes. The continuation of the student is followed by the lecturer of the course. All exams are evaluated out of 100 points and a midterm exam (or midterm study assignment) and a final exam (final) are given for each course. Evaluation can be followed from the course outputs of the relevant faculty member.
Graduation Requirements
In order for students to have the right to graduate, they must successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses with 30 ECTS per semester. Students who are successful in their courses prepare a thesis under the supervision of their thesis advisor and this thesis is evaluated by the selected jury. Students who are successful in their compulsory and elective courses and thesis defense are graduated.

Facilities
In our graduate program, there are television studio, radio studio, news center, public relations workshop, PC laboratory, editing laboratory and library.
