General Description
History
Occupational Health and Safety is an interdisciplinary science. Because of this feature, it is necessary in every working environment, that is, in every environment where there is work. For this reason, it is in close communication with all fields, especially medicine. The program was opened in the Fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year and started education with 21 students.

Specific Admission Requirements
For admission to the Master's program of the Department of Occupational Health and Safety; • Medicine and other undergraduate graduates and • It will be required to obtain at least "55" points from the announced score type of the program applied from ALES or to have an equivalent score from an international exam accepted by the Interuniversity Board and included in subparagraph (a) of the first paragraph of Article 52. • Candidates applying with a master's degree with thesis must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50 out of 4.00 or an equivalent score out of 100.

In order to obtain a master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, students must successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses in the program. In addition, he/she must successfully complete his/her thesis on the relevant subject.
Profile of The Programme
Within the department, there is still the Department of Occupational Health and Safety as the main department. The main objective of the Occupational Health and Safety Department is; To raise graduates who have the knowledge and skills of defining, explaining, applying, making decisions, and teaching the basic concepts of Occupational Health and Safety, as Occupational Health and Occupational Safety graduates, who have all the authorities and responsibilities provided by the laws.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Since the program has a multidisciplinary framework, graduates from all fields, especially engineering, technique and medicine, will be accepted. Those who complete the program will be awarded the title of Occupational Health and Safety specialist. The program will prepare students for the Occupational Medicine and Occupational Safety Specialist professions that they can pursue both in academic life and in the private sector.
Access to Further Studies
Those who complete this program will be able to transfer to the doctoral program.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Each student must register for the courses at the beginning of the semester and must attend at least 70% of the courses and 80% of the practices in order to take the final exam. Students are subjected to at least one midterm and final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam to the success grade is determined by the lecturer, and the contribution of the final exam is determined in the same way. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Students who get one of the letter grades (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB), (CC) in a course are deemed to have succeeded in that course. (DC) and (DD) grades are conditionally successful grades. In order for the student to be successful in a course in which he received a DC or DD grade, his/her GPA must be at least 2.00.
Graduation Requirements
In order to receive a master's degree from the Occupational Health and Safety Department's Thesis Master's Program, they must complete at least 8 courses (excluding the Seminar) and local 24 credit courses and fulfill the relevant provisions of the Yozgat Bozok University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations.

Facilities
3 professors, 3 associate professors and 2 doctoral faculty members work full-time at our University in the Department of Occupational Health and Safety affiliated to the Graduate School of Education. All facilities used for education and research at Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Medicine are also offered to graduate students. In this context, in the Faculty of Medicine, there are 1 computer laboratory that can be used by graduate students, a 24/7 wireless internet network, and 15 computers that are constantly connected to the internet in the faculty building to meet the needs of students for short-term internet and computer use.
