History
In February 2022, the program started accepting graduate students with thesis.

This program is subject to the second stage degree system of 90-120 ECTS credits in Histology and Embryology Science. When the program is successfully completed and the program qualifications are met, a Master's degree in Histology and Embryology Science is earned.

Specific Admission Requirements
n order for candidates to apply to the master's program with thesis in the department of histology and embryology: They must have a bachelor's degree in the fields specified in the announcement opened for entrance exams each semester, must have the base score determined by the senate from the numerical section of the ALES exam, and must have a document showing the foreign language level and a transcript showing the undergraduate graduation grade point average. The evaluation criteria are calculated according to the following percentages: 50% of the ALES score, 15% of the Foreign Language score, 15% of the graduation grade point average, and 20% of the interview score. Those with a total score below 60 are not accepted to the program.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
The provisions of the Regulation on the Principles of Transition, Double Major, Minor and Inter-institutional Credit Transfer between Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions are applied.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to obtain a master's degree in the Department of Histology and Embryology, students must take a total of 90-120 ECTS credits from the compulsory and elective courses required in the program, at least 8 courses and at least 70 points out of 100 from the exam of each course. Students who successfully complete all of the courses they have taken and successfully defend their thesis in the field related to their subject in front of a selected jury are considered qualified.
Profile of The Programme
The master's program with thesis is 4 semesters. The first two semesters are the courses and thesis preparation and the last two semesters are the realization and writing of the thesis. The aim of the program is to train scientists in the field of histology and embryology who have assimilated the philosophy of science, have the competence to work in the relevant scientific field and in a research laboratory, are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills, know how to access information, pay attention to ethical and deontological rules in their studies, have reached the level of programming and conducting a scientific study, can present and publish their studies orally and in writing, and can help in the implementation of histology and embryology course and application curriculum.

They can work as academicians in the field of education and as experts in the field of health and R&D laboratories.
Access to Further Studies
If they meet the necessary qualifications and application requirements, they can continue their PhD programs.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Exams can be written, written-oral and practical. Each student must register for the courses at the beginning of the semester and must attend at least 70% of the courses and at least 80% of the practices in order to take the final exam. Students are subjected to a final exam for each course. All exams are evaluated out of 100 points. It is obligatory to get at least 70 points from the final exam. Students who get one of the letter grades AA, BA, BB, CB and CC from a course are considered to have succeeded in that course.

In order to successfully complete the program, a student must complete 90-120 ECTS, get at least 70 out of 100 from each of the exams, complete his/her thesis and successfully defend his/her thesis in front of the jury and his/her thesis must be accepted.
