Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
The doctoral program consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course, graduate specialization course, qualifying exam, thesis proposal and thesis report, with a total of not less than 240 ECTS. |
Profile of The Programme |
There are 6 disciplines within the Department: Analysis and Function Theory, Algebra and Number Theory, Geometry, Fundamentals of Mathematics and Logic, Topology and Applied Mathematics. The mission of the Department of Mathematics is to train qualified researchers who adopt a scientific approach, care about ethical values, have analytical thinking, have the potential to conduct research at national and international level, can produce solutions, use their knowledge and skills for the benefit of humanity, participatory, innovative, self-confident. Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
Students take at least one midterm and one final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam to the success grade is 40% and the contribution of the end-of-year exam is 60%. A student who gets one of the AA, AB, BA, BB and BC grades in a deck is considered successful. Students who are successful in a separate seminar, specialization course and thesis study are entitled to graduate. |
Graduation Requirements |
For students admitted to doctoral programs with a master's degree with thesis; The program must include at least 7 (seven) courses, seminar course, proficiency exam, thesis proposal, at least 3 thesis monitoring interim reports, at least 240 ECTS credits, and the thesis and specialization course must be selected in the period in which it is desired to graduate. |

Facilities |
There are 4 classrooms in our Department. At the same time, there is a Faculty Student Computer Laboratory, which is 80 m2 in size and has 40 highly equipped computers that can be used by the students of the Department. In addition, there is a projection device in two classrooms and a computer laboratory of the Department. There are a total of 784 books in the library of our university related to our Department. |
